Fed Chair Warsh Says He Won’t Respond to Trump’s Criticism of the Central Bank

Kevin Warsh, chair of the Federal Reserve, said he would not separately respond to President Donald Trump’s criticism of the central bank.

Walter Bloomberg reported on October 28 that Warsh, when asked about Trump’s remarks regarding the Fed’s Board of Governors, replied: “I won’t respond.”

When asked again about Trump’s criticism of the Fed, Warsh said he would not answer questions citing remarks by public officials.

Warsh did not provide a specific assessment of the comments or any further explanation.
