Russia is moving to introduce evaluation criteria for cryptocurrency investors.

BlockBeats reported on October 29 that Ekaterina Andreeva, senior vice president of the National Association of Securities Market Participants of Russia, or NAUFOR, unveiled the plan at Crypto Summit 2026 in Moscow. She said a draft of the criteria had been completed and submitted last week to the Basic Standards Committee under the Bank of Russia.

Brokerages are set to receive the authority to conduct the investor assessments first. The assessments could begin as early as the end of next month.

The results will apply across regulated cryptocurrency trading platforms.
