IP commercialization platform IPX said on October 29 that it will integrate with Bridge, a Stripe subsidiary, to help users convert revenue from ticket sales and licensing agreements into the stablecoin USDC for use on its platform.
IPX said it will launch the Bridge integration service on November 15. Users and projects that meet requirements, including account screening, will be able to move funds between bank payment networks and the Base blockchain-based IPX platform through Bridge virtual accounts.
Projects will be able to receive donations, licensing fees and ticket-sale proceeds into virtual accounts through bank transfers or the U.S. automated clearing house, or ACH. Deposited dollars will be automatically converted into USDC and transferred onto the blockchain. The platform will also let users withdraw funds from the platform back into bank accounts.
The company aims to reduce the steps creators and business partners must take to move between bank accounts and blockchain assets. Revenue transferred onto the blockchain through Bridge will be recorded on the same blockchain ledger as other transactions on IPX. Corporate sponsors and project participants will be able to review those transaction records.
Jordan Schlosser, IPX's co-founder and chief technology officer, said the Bridge integration is intended to narrow the gap between the traditional economy and blockchain markets. It will allow real-world revenue to be converted into USDC and used on the platform, improving transparency and operational efficiency for creators and partners, he added.
