Cryptocurrency exchange HTX, formerly known as Huobi, has agreed with financial regulators to halt operations in the UK. Justin Sun, founder of Tron and an adviser to HTX, said the agreement does not amount to an admission of unlawful conduct.

In a post on X on Oct. 29, Sun said HTX had concluded legal proceedings in the UK following what he described as constructive discussions with the Financial Conduct Authority.

The agreement follows allegations by UK financial authorities that HTX illegally promoted crypto assets. Under the settlement with regulators, HTX will stop operating in the UK.

Sun emphasized that the settlement does not constitute an admission by HTX of legal liability or of any illegal or improper conduct.
