Signs of 18,270 Bitcoin Leaving Binance

Assets that flowed out of global cryptocurrency exchange Binance are estimated at $5.6 billion, with more than half not subject to emergency freezes, according to an analysis. Stablecoin issuers moved quickly to freeze funds, but more than half of the assets, including Bitcoin and Ether, appear to have remained unfrozen.
Andy, founder of crypto media outlet The Rollup, wrote on X on Oct. 29 that estimated outflows tied to the Binance hack had topped $5.5 billion. A chart he shared showed total outflows across the Ethereum, Bitcoin and Tron networks at $5.6 billion.
By asset, USDT accounted for the largest share at $2.29 billion. Bitcoin outflows totaled 18,270 tokens, worth about $1.45 billion, while USDC accounted for $823 million. Ether outflows were estimated at about 197,170 tokens worth $451 million.
The total also included Ripple's stablecoin RLUSD at $88.6 million, liquid staking token wBETH at $75.3 million, and gold-linked token XAUt at $50.5 million. Fund movements were also detected in Uniswap's UNI, Ethena's ENA and PEPE.
Of the total, about $2.38 billion in crypto assets has been frozen. That figure combines roughly $1.56 billion in USDT frozen by Tether and $823 million in USDC frozen by Circle. It amounts to about 43% of the estimated total outflow.
The remaining roughly $3.2 billion appears to be unfrozen. That includes Bitcoin and Ether, as well as about $730 million in USDT.
Binance has maintained that customer funds remain safe as it investigates the security issue and works to fix withdrawal errors affecting some users. The outflow figure is based on on-chain estimates from Hyperliquid and other analysts, and does not represent Binance's final disclosed loss.
