Binance, the global cryptocurrency exchange, has delayed the resumption of withdrawals and temporarily suspended Binance Alpha trading as it conducts a security review.
On Oct. 29, Binance said on its official X account that it was carrying out a security check and would resume withdrawals once the issue is fully resolved. It added that user funds are safe and that it would provide further updates on its progress.
As part of the security measures, Binance also temporarily halted Binance Alpha trading. The suspension covers token purchases using funds in spot wallets as well as Alpha instant trades. Those services will also resume after the security issue is resolved.
Earlier, Binance said withdrawal disruptions affecting some users were caused by a technical error and that restoration work was under way. This time, it said resolving the security issue is the condition for resuming withdrawals and Alpha trading. It did not give a timeline for full restoration.
