Binance Says Deposits Normal, Withdrawals to Resume Within 48 Hours

In a post on its official X account on Oct. 29, Binance said withdrawals would remain suspended while it overhauls security systems related to withdrawal services and associated addresses. It added that it expects to restart the service within 48 hours and will provide further details later.

The exchange said the incident resulted from a combination of factors. Its security team is tracing the full intrusion path, focusing on a computer suspected of being the starting point of the attack.

Binance said it plans to release a comprehensive report on the root cause at a later date. It had earlier raised the possibility that a laptop used by an employee in development and operations was exploited as an entry point, but in the latest update said the investigation into the full attack path is still ongoing.
