XRP fell 16% in October, marking its fourth-worst October performance since 2013. Historical data show November has more often ended in losses as well, though some years delivered triple-digit gains.

Crypto media outlet The Crypto Basic reported on November 2 that XRP's 16% decline last month was its fourth-steepest October drop, following 2013 (-44.8%), 2018 (-22.9%) and 2024 (-16.6%). The token was trading around $1.25 at the start of this month.

From 2013 to 2025, XRP finished lower in seven of 13 Novembers and higher in six. The median November return was -9.1%.

The average return, however, was much higher at 78.3%. That was driven by outsized rallies in a few years: 489.1% in 2013, 148.2% in 2014, 179.2% in 2020 and 282.9% in 2024.

Excluding those four years, the average November return across the remaining nine years was about -9.0%.

Of the eight times XRP fell in October between 2013 and 2025, losses extended into November on five occasions. In the three cases when it reversed course, however, it posted triple-digit returns each time.

The Crypto Basic wrote that November has generally been weak for XRP based on historical data, but that the rare rebound periods produced unusually large gains. It added that the sample size is too small to apply those figures mechanically to an outlook for this November.
