Coocon, a business data platform company, said on November 6 that it signed a memorandum of understanding with blockchain infrastructure firm DSRV to cooperate on on-chain financial data APIs and payment services for AI agents.
The companies plan to combine Coocon’s financial data API capabilities with DSRV’s blockchain infrastructure to develop new financial services. They will expand Coocon’s existing API business into on-chain transaction data and also pursue payment services for AI agents.
To support that effort, they are reviewing an API that would provide payment, collection and settlement information for stablecoins. The goal is to enable financial institutions and companies to check wallet balances, transaction histories, deposit status and transaction confirmation status, and receive data needed for settlement without directly querying blockchains.
The companies also plan to flesh out a model for offering on-chain data through APIs to financial institutions, fintech companies and corporate clients. DSRV will use its multichain node infrastructure, which supports multiple blockchains, to handle raw data collection, processing and technical integration.
For AI agent payments, Coocon’s data APIs provided through the MCP, or Model Context Protocol, framework will be linked with DSRV’s wallet technology. The companies plan to apply x402, an open payment protocol that allows API fees to be paid in stablecoins. The aim is to build a structure in which AI agents can find and use the APIs they need and automatically complete payment without separate sign-up or contract procedures.
The companies plan to form a joint working group and begin a proof of concept for API payment technology for AI agents. They will also establish security standards for the transfer of data and payment information between systems. The companies then plan to broaden the partnership to stablecoin wallet management services and global cash management services, or CMS.
“For stablecoins and on-chain financial services to gain mainstream adoption, financial institutions and companies need to be able to use blockchain-generated data in familiar ways,” DSRV Co-Chief Executive Officer Seo Byung-yoon said. “Through our partnership with Coocon, we will connect on-chain data with existing financial services and build a new service model in which AI agents can handle everything from data use to payment.”
Coocon Chief Executive Officer Kim Jong-hyun said the growing use of digital assets such as stablecoins is increasing the importance of linking on-chain data with existing financial systems. The company will use its capabilities in commercializing financial data APIs and its client network to expand its business scope, he added.
