Nasdaq 100 futures rose, signaling that stocks could stage a partial rebound after the previous session’s sharp selloff.

CoinDesk, a cryptocurrency-focused media outlet, reported on November 6 that Nasdaq 100 futures were up more than 1.4%. The move followed a roughly 6.4% plunge in the Nasdaq 100 index a day earlier, as bargain buying appeared to emerge.

U.S. stocks fell sharply in the previous session, led by technology shares, as concerns grew that regulation of the artificial intelligence industry could tighten after Democrats took control of both chambers in the midterm elections.

With Nasdaq 100 futures rebounding, attention is turning to whether major technology stocks can recoup part of the previous day’s losses after the regular session opens.
