Meta and Palantir have joined the companies opposing OKXICE's plan to tokenize stocks.

Meta, Palantir and S&P Global were recently added to the list of companies objecting to the project, Bitcoin.com News and other outlets reported on November 7. A total of 67 companies have now opposed OKXICE's stock-tokenization plan.

OKXICE is a joint venture between crypto exchange OKX and Intercontinental Exchange, the parent of the New York Stock Exchange. It is seeking to tokenize U.S. stocks using the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's innovation exemption framework.

The issue is that major companies cited as initial tokenization targets have successively raised objections, disrupting efforts to secure the planned roster. CoinDesk reported that 56 of the 62 companies initially identified as tokenization targets have objected. The cumulative total of 67 includes 11 companies that were not on the original list.
