A Korea Exchange official stated, "We plan to discuss the situation related to abnormal financial conditions and market stabilization measures."
Earlier, Korea Exchange decided to convene an 'emergency market conditions response meeting' with all officials participating in the morning.
The day before, the top economic officials, including the Minister of Economy and Finance, Kim Byung-hwan, Chairman of the Financial Services Commission, and Lee Bok-hyun, Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service, gathered to hold an emergency economic and financial security meeting (F4 meeting) to discuss follow-up measures.
