On the 5th (local time), according to The Block, Andre Dragosch, head of Bitwise's European research, stated, "Since the U.S. presidential election, more altcoins have been outperforming Bitcoin," adding, "According to the Bitwise Altseason Index, 85% of tracked altcoins have outperformed Bitcoin over the past 30 days." He continued, "Major altcoins are increasingly decoupling from Bitcoin," emphasizing that "the performance dispersion among altcoins has reached its highest level since March 2024, indicating a diversification of the investment narrative driving the market."
He also added, "The inflow of virtual asset products is a sign of increasing investor interest," noting that "the weekly inflow of global virtual asset ETPs has reached its highest level."
