- It was reported that Choo intends to maintain his resignation despite the reaffirmation.

Choo Kyung-ho, the floor leader of the People Power Party, expressed his intention to resign on the 7th, but it is reported that lawmakers have gathered consensus to reaffirm his position. This is interpreted as a concern about a leadership vacuum in the party during a crisis situation.
According to sources within and outside the People Power Party on the 7th, Floor Leader Choo expressed his intention to resign at a general meeting of lawmakers after the main vote on President Yoon Seok-youl's impeachment motion. However, during a general meeting of lawmakers chaired by Kwon Seong-dong that evening, opinions to reaffirm Floor Leader Choo's position continued, and it is reported that a vote was taken to decide on the reaffirmation. However, as Choo has not accepted this and maintains his intention to resign, it is known that lawmakers will try to persuade him again.
On this day, Floor Leader Choo led the opposition to the re-vote on the President's impeachment motion and the special prosecution bill against Kim Gun-hee. He was criticized for calling some lawmakers to the party headquarters instead of the National Assembly on the day martial law was declared, causing many to miss the vote on lifting martial law. At the general meeting of lawmakers, he stated, "I will take responsibility for the current situation where the third presidential impeachment vote in constitutional history has taken place, and step down from the position of floor leader."
On this day, Policy Committee Chairman Kim Sang-hoon also expressed his intention to resign to People Power Party Chairman Han Dong-hoon. However, it is reported that Chairman Han has not yet responded. Within the People Power Party, there are reportedly more voices concerned about the leadership change during a crisis. President Yoon issued a public statement entrusting state affairs to the party and the Prime Minister on this day.
