Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, stated, "By ensuring an orderly early resignation of the president, we will minimize the confusion affecting Korea and its people, stabilize the political situation, and firmly establish liberal democracy."

In a public statement made at the People Power Party's central office in Yeouido on the 8th, Han said, "The majority of the public believes that President Yoon cannot conduct normal state affairs during the remainder of his term and should step down."

Regarding the 'orderly early resignation,' he explained, "We will promptly present specific plans after internal discussions."

Han also mentioned, "Even before resignation, the president will not be involved in state affairs, including diplomacy, to prevent concerns from the public and the international community."

He emphasized, "The investigation by law enforcement into the current martial law situation will be conducted strictly, without sanctuary, and transparently, and neither the government nor the party will defend anyone, including the president."

Furthermore, he added that regular meetings between the party leader and the prime minister will be held to prevent any vacuum in state affairs.
