Kroma Unveils Reward Innovation Platform 'Kroket'... "Leading the Large-Scale Adoption of Web3"

The Ethereum Layer 2 (L2) network Kroma (KRO) has announced plans to launch the Web3-based reward innovation platform 'Kroket'. The goal is to naturally draw Web2 users into the Web3 industry.

Kroket is an innovative reward app that connects existing Web2 and Web3, allowing users to accumulate points through various quests and games, which can then be exchanged for mobile vouchers, virtual assets (cryptocurrency), and more. It is built to integrate the familiar experience (UX) of existing reward apps with Web3 technology, enabling anyone to naturally use blockchain-based services.

The biggest advantage of Kroket is the usability of the accumulated points. Points within the app can be exchanged for gifticons, affiliate points, virtual assets, etc., making them highly versatile. In the future, it will also offer a feature where users can directly own and manage products and assets exchanged for points through NFTs.

Kroma plans to build an NFT value chain based on Kroket, allowing for the exchange of products at convenience stores, department stores, restaurants, etc., both domestically and internationally, and enabling free transactions between users. The aim is to assist app tech service users in entering the market by providing tangible rewards offered by Web2 reward platforms, rather than relying solely on unsustainable revenue structures dependent on highly volatile token values.

A Kroket representative stated, "We aim to signal 'large-scale adoption' by naturally integrating Web3 technology without compromising the experience of Web2 users," adding, "Through collaboration with various decentralized applications (DApps) on the Kroma network, we will expand the ecosystem and present a new paradigm in the reward app market."

Kroket will officially launch its service in December, with pre-registration open until the 20th. It has garnered significant interest, recording 11,000 participants within just three days of starting. Users who participate in the pre-registration will receive virtual asset rewards such as Optimism (OP). A large-scale prize promotion through the Krotto event is also planned post-launch.
