LINE NEXT to Launch Messenger-Based Mini DApps in Q1 Next Year

LINE NEXT announced on the 12th that it will launch a mini DApp and DApp portal service based on LINE Messenger in the first quarter of next year. Additionally, it revealed 30 projects that were finally selected for the 'KAI Wave', a Web3 developer support program jointly conducted with the KAI Foundation.
KAI Wave is a program jointly supported by LINE NEXT and the KAI Foundation to support Web3 developers based on the KAI ecosystem, aimed at fostering Web3 developers to activate the blockchain ecosystem domestically and internationally.
Since September, more than 800 projects have applied over three months, and LINE NEXT plans to unveil approximately 150 projects initially selected by the first half of next year. The detailed list will be available on the LINE NEXT DApp Portal Medium channel and the KAI Wave website.
The projects being unveiled include ▲ 'Bombie' from Pluto Studio, which holds the number one mini-app service with 43 million active users and top sales ▲ 'Shin-Chan's match daily', a puzzle match mini-game utilizing the popular animation 'Crayon Shin-chan' ▲ 'Captain Tsubasa-RIVALS-on LINE', a casual game based on the popular soccer manga 'Captain Tsubasa' ▲ 'Heroic Arena', an idle mini DApp where heroes battle in a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) world with an ACG (Animation, Comic, Game) style ▲ 'Superz' by the SuperWalk team, a health reward app for the public.
Users can directly use various DApps within LINE Messenger, receive various rewards, or trade virtual assets while using the service. Additionally, services such as Keyless Digital Wallet, fast transaction settlement, and fee delegation functions are available in the mini DApp and DApp portal.
Ko Young-soo, CEO of LINE NEXT, stated, "We have been contemplating ways to enhance accessibility to Web3 services," adding, "We plan to showcase Web3 DApps on a large scale for the first time in Asia, expanding the user base centered around major countries of LINE Messenger such as Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan."
