[Breaking News] Democratic Party: "Yoon's Declaration of War Against the People... The Ruling Party Must Decide on 'Impeachment Free Vote'"

The Democratic Party of Korea strongly criticized President Yoon Suk-yeol's address to the nation on the 12th and demanded the People Power Party to allow a free vote on the impeachment motion against President Yoon on the 14th.

Kim Min-seok, a top member of the Democratic Party, stated at a press conference at the National Assembly, "The mental substance of Yoon Suk-yeol has been reaffirmed," adding, "His remarks about planning a failed martial law while violating the constitution and laws for the protection of constitutional government are an explosion of extreme delusion, a confession of illegal governance, and a declaration of war against the people."

Kim targeted President Yoon's address earlier that morning, saying, "He has already anticipated impeachment and preemptively read the Constitutional Court's argument summary to incite subsequent unrest," and further accused him of "publicly ordering the destruction of evidence by those involved."

Kim emphasized, "The orderly impeachment is the action that the state and the National Assembly must take against Yoon Suk-yeol," and urged, "The People Power Party should decide on a free vote for impeachment." He added, "The National Assembly will unite to pass the impeachment of Yoon Suk-yeol as demanded by the people," and urged the Constitutional Court to "minimize the time for national normalization with a swift impeachment decision."
