Explanation of the Impeachment Proposal for President Yoon Suk-yeol

Park Chan-dae, the floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated on the 14th during the explanation of the impeachment proposal for President Yoon Suk-yeol, "The December 3 Martial Law is clearly unconstitutional and a serious violation of the law," and urged, "By supporting the impeachment, please leave a historical lesson that those who destroy constitutional order must be punished."
Floor Leader Park said at the National Assembly plenary session that day, "The December 3 Martial Law did not meet any of the procedures and requirements set by the constitution for martial law," and added, "It violated the people's life and safety, the existence and function of the state, popular sovereignty, democracy, and the rule of law, similar to crimes like rebellion, abuse of authority, and obstruction of special official duties."
Floor Leader Park stated, "Yoon Suk-yeol is the head of the rebellion who led the insurrection," and added, "Yoon directly checked the situation by calling the Special Warfare Commander and the Capital Defense Commander, directly ordered the arrest of members of the National Assembly, and even reviewed unconstitutional and illegal proclamations."
Floor Leader Park appealed, "In this grave situation, I earnestly plead with you. The fate of the Republic of Korea depends on the choice of each member of the National Assembly," and added, "Members of the People Power Party, this is the last chance. Grab the hem of the divine garment rushing out of the door of history." He continued, "Putting partisan interests ahead in the face of a national crisis is a betrayal of the people and an abandonment of the constitutional duty of a member of the National Assembly."
