- CEO Ju Ki-young emphasized that Bitcoin will not be neutralized by quantum computers.
- Billionaire Chamath Palihapitiya suggested that Bitcoin could be decrypted and that new hashing algorithm implementations might be necessary.
- Adam Back argued that it is difficult to reach a million-qubit computer with current technology.

There is a claim that Bitcoin (BTC) cannot be neutralized by quantum computers.
On the 13th (local time), Ju Ki-young, CEO of CryptoQuant, stated on X, "Bitcoin will not be neutralized by quantum computers even 20 years from now," and urged, "Do not be deceived by baseless FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt)." He added, "Adam Back is a legendary cryptographer and the inventor of the Proof-of-Work (PoW) algorithm used in Bitcoin."
This statement comes in response to claims from some quarters that Bitcoin could be neutralized with the advent of quantum computers. Billionaire venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya has previously stated that Bitcoin could be decrypted using Google's quantum chip, Willow. He mentioned, "It would take 8,000 chips to decrypt Bitcoin's security system, 'Secure Hash Algorithm-256 (SHA-256),'" and predicted, "It might take 2 to 5 years for chains to reimplement new hashing algorithms."
In response, Adam Back countered, "Connecting many 105-qubit chips does not increase the number of entangled qubits," and stated, "We will not come close to a million-qubit computer in this decade or the next."
