Mike Novogratz, CEO of the virtual asset (cryptocurrency) specialized financial services company Galaxy Digital, predicted on the 17th (local time) via his X (formerly Twitter) that "Bitcoin (BTC) will surpass gold in market capitalization in the next 5-8 years."
As of the beginning of this week, Bitcoin's market capitalization reached 14% of gold's, marking an all-time high. The current values of gold and Bitcoin are $17.8 trillion and $2.13 trillion, respectively.
Meanwhile, BTC is trading at $106,800, up 0.06% from the previous day, as of 01:21 on the 18th in the Binance Tether (USDT) market.
