According to a report by Cointelegraph on the 19th (local time), the Bavarian Data Protection Authority stated, "We have concluded our investigation into whether World complies with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation and have ordered the implementation of data deletion procedures within a month according to the standards."
In response, the World Foundation appealed the decision, stating, "World's privacy-enhancing technology must provide legal clarity on whether it meets the EU's legal definition of anonymization."
