He further predicted, "Discussions on Bitcoin reserve policies will continue," and "policies to expand Bitcoin reserves within various departments and agencies will be reviewed."
Meanwhile, if a bill to strategically reserve 1 million BTC is passed, the US government will need to purchase 200,000 BTC over five years. Currently, the US government holds 183,850 BTC (approximately $17.36 billion).
