David Schwartz, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Ripple, recently stated that he has not amassed great wealth despite the recent surge in XRP.

On the 29th (local time), the cryptocurrency-focused media outlet CryptoDnes reported, "Schwartz made it clear that he is not a billionaire despite the recent surge in XRP prices." Previously, in 2021, Schwartz mentioned that "his assets are far less than $170 million."

According to the media, the value of the 9 billion XRP held by Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen surged to $54 billion in 2018. Additionally, the value of the XRP held by Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse also exceeded $10 billion.

The media added, "Unlike his colleagues, Schwartz chose a 2% stake in Ripple and a salary instead of XRP tokens," and "he holds Bitcoin and several altcoins, stating that most of his assets are tied up in highly volatile assets."
