On the 2nd (local time), the crypto asset specialized media Cointelegraph, citing data from blockchain security firm CertiK, reported that "the losses from crypto asset exploits, hacks, and scams in December amounted to $28.6 million, a significant decrease from November ($63.8 million) and October ($115.8 million)."
According to the data, the largest loss was recorded in the decentralized finance platform GemPad's $2.1 million smart contract exploit incident.
