Global cryptocurrency exchange Binance announced that it has acquired a broker-dealer license in the Brazilian market.

On the 2nd (local time), Binance stated through its official channels, "We have secured the license through the acquisition of Sim-paul, which holds a broker-dealer license for securities distribution and electronic money (EMI) issuance in the Brazilian market. With this, Binance becomes the first cryptocurrency exchange to obtain a license in Brazil," the announcement read.

Richard Teng, CEO of Binance, said, "Brazil, a market where cryptocurrency adoption is rapidly increasing, is home to a vibrant and dynamic community embracing the future of finance. We look forward to providing a safer and more reliable innovative platform with this approval."
