Acting President Choi Sang-mok (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, pictured) emphasized on the 13th that there should be no physical confrontation between the National Police Agency and the Presidential Security Service during the execution of an arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk-yeol.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Acting President Choi stated, "The tension between national agencies regarding the execution of the arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk-yeol is escalating, causing significant concern and anxiety among the public and both domestically and internationally," adding, "If a conflict between national agencies occurs, it would leave an indelible scar in our constitutional history."

He stressed, "All law enforcement must be conducted in a peaceful and restrained manner, and there should absolutely be no use of violent means and methods between related agencies," urging, "Heads of related agencies should pay special attention to maintaining order and preventing conflict." He continued, "To ensure the safety of affiliated employees and prevent conflicts between agencies, I urge you to sufficiently consult with each other to secure orderly law enforcement and the safety of working officials."
