FTX Creditor Representative: Users from China, Russia, etc., Cannot Receive Claims via Custodial Exchanges

Sunil Kavuri, the representative of the largest creditor group of the bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX, announced on the 17th (local time) via X (formerly Twitter) that FTX creditors from countries such as Egypt, Iran, Nigeria, Ukraine, China, Russia, and Saudi Arabia cannot currently receive their claims through the custodial exchanges BitGo and Kraken.
He added, "This is because the custodial exchanges may have restrictions on providing services in those countries."
Furthermore, the FTX bankruptcy trustee is exploring options to delegate claim repayments in each jurisdiction and is updating accordingly.
Previously, Sunil Kavuri, the FTX creditor group representative, had predicted that the first repayment would occur in February.
