On the 18th (local time), Buterin stated on X that "a major change in the leadership structure of the Ethereum Foundation is underway," adding that "some have already been implemented and announced, while others are still in progress." Buterin cited the goals of these changes as enhancing technical expertise, attracting talent, strengthening communication within the ecosystem, and expanding the use of the Ethereum chain.
He also emphasized the 'non-goals' of the Ethereum Foundation. Buterin stated, "Lobbying regulatory authorities or political figures is not a goal of the Ethereum Foundation." He also mentioned that becoming a platform for personal gain is not a direction the Ethereum Foundation aims for.
