The donations for President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration have set a new record.
On the 20th (local time), ABC News reported that the donations for Trump's inauguration totaled $250 million (approximately 362.7 billion won).
According to the report, this includes not only the official Trump Inaugural Committee but also other fundraising organizations preparing for the inauguration celebrations this weekend.
This amount is more than double the $107 million (approximately 155.2 billion won) raised during Trump's first inauguration, breaking the previous record set by Trump's first term.
ABC reported that tech companies such as Meta, Apple, Amazon, Google, Microsoft (MS), OpenAI, and Uber each contributed more than $1 million (approximately 1.45 billion won) to Trump's second inauguration.
It was also reported that the cryptocurrency industry, including Ripple, Robinhood, and Coinbase, contributed $5 million, $2 million, and $1 million, respectively.
