Coinone Achieves ISMS-P Certification for Information and Personal Information Protection Management System

Coinone, a domestic virtual asset (cryptocurrency) exchange, announced on the 22nd that it has obtained the Information Security Management System-Personal Information Protection (ISMS-P) certification.

ISMS-P is the highest level of information security and personal information protection management system certification in Korea, jointly announced by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Personal Information Protection Commission. The certification is granted only after passing the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) audit, which requires compliance with 101 criteria across three areas: ▲establishment and operation of management systems ▲protection measures requirements ▲personal information processing stage requirements. Previously, Coinone was the first in the virtual asset industry to receive the grand prize at the '22nd Information Security Awards' ceremony in 2023.

Cha Myung-hoon, CEO of Coinone, stated, "The acquisition of the ISMS-P certification is the result of the participation of all executives and employees of Coinone, including the management, in enhancing the information protection and personal information protection processes and systems," adding, "As personal information protection is directly linked to customer trust, we will thoroughly protect customer information throughout the entire exchange service process to provide a safe usage environment."
