Bloomberg "Vitalik invests in Wall Street startup... Aiming for Ethereum marketing"

Ethereum (ETH) co-founder Vitalik Buterin (pictured) has invested in a Wall Street startup in the United States to market Ethereum.

According to Bloomberg on the 23rd, Buterin and the Ethereum Foundation recently invested in the U.S. startup Etherealize. Etherealize is a company founded by Vivek Raman, who worked as a bond trader at UBS Group after working at Nomura Holdings. The specific investment amount has not been disclosed.

Etherealize is a company that markets Ethereum to financial firms such as Wall Street. It is also developing products that make it easier for banks to use Ethereum. Raman stated, "All the factors that once acted as headwinds, such as regulation, technology, and institutional participation, have now become tailwinds for Ethereum."

Buterin's investment in Etherealize is interpreted as a measure to address Ethereum's sluggish performance. According to Bloomberg, the price of Bitcoin (BTC) has surged about 160% over the past year, but Ethereum's price has only risen about 40% during the same period. Bloomberg noted, "Many creators are turning their attention to Solana (SOL), which is developing faster than Ethereum," and "Solana's growth over the past year has surpassed that of Ethereum and Bitcoin."
