The North Dakota Legislature has proposed a bill aimed at limiting cryptocurrency (crypto) ATM transactions.
According to Cointelegraph on the 22nd (local time), the state legislature proposed a bill on the 15th to limit the daily withdrawal limit from crypto ATMs to $1,000 and set the fee at $5 per transaction or 3% of the total amount.
This bill is intended to address the increasing fraud related to cryptocurrency ATMs. The FBI previously stated that there were 5,500 cases of crypto ATM-related fraud in the United States last year, causing a total loss of $189 million.
