Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase, stated on X on the 24th, "There is a high possibility that Bitcoin's market cap will exceed gold's in the next 5 to 10 years." This implies that Bitcoin's value could surpass gold's within five years.

Armstrong emphasized the advantages of Bitcoin. He stated, "Bitcoin is a better currency than gold," noting that it possesses not only decentralization and scarcity like gold but also divisibility, mobility, and fungibility. He added, "Bitcoin's current market cap of about $2 trillion is 11% of gold's market cap of about $18 trillion," suggesting that "considering this, every country holding gold should hold at least 11% of that in Bitcoin."

He also expressed expectations for a second Trump administration. Armstrong stated, "If the United States leads by stockpiling Bitcoin as a strategic asset, most of the G20 countries will follow."
