Austrian fintech unicorn 'Bitpanda', which operates a cryptocurrency exchange, has obtained a MiCA license in Germany.
According to Cointelegraph on the 27th, Bitpanda acquired the license under the MiCA law from the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). The MiCA law is a cryptocurrency regulation law that the European Union (EU) officially implemented at the end of last year.
With this approval, Bitpanda has become the second Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) to obtain a MiCA license from BaFin. This license applies within the 27 EU member states.
