According to the blockchain data statistics site L2BEAT, as of 22:28 on the 1st, the total value locked (TVL) in the Ethereum (ETH) Layer 2 network recorded $42.4 billion, a decrease of 4.25% compared to the previous week. This is approximately 61.8319 trillion won.
During the same period, the amount of deposited Ethereum decreased by 2.9%, but as the Ethereum price fell, the dollar-based deposit size decreased even more significantly.
In particular, Arbitrum One (ARB) maintained its market share lead in the entire Layer 2 network with a TVL of $15.99 billion. It was followed by Coinbase Base at $13.57 billion and Optimism (OP) at $6.25 billion. zkSync Era recorded $1.14 billion, StarkNet $849.43 million, and Blast (BLAST) $754.98 million.
Layer 2 refers to a network that implements a separate device to process data outside the blockchain, reducing fees and increasing processing speed.
