The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) cryptocurrency task force (TF) has been evaluated as sincere regarding the clarity of cryptocurrency regulation.
On the 4th (local time), Catherine Dowling, Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) of Bitwise, stated in an interview with Blockworks, "I felt that the SEC cryptocurrency TF is very sincere in conversations with SEC personnel," and added, "The cooperation between the SEC and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is also a significant change."
She continued, "The SEC, currently under the interim chairmanship of Mark Uyeda, remains in an uncertain situation," and noted, "In the case of the Ripple lawsuit, they are waiting for clear instructions from the 'higher authority.'"
