President Donald Trump of the United States announced that Israel will hand over the Gaza Strip to the United States, but there will be no need for U.S. troops to be stationed there.

On the 6th, President Trump posted on his Truth Social account, "Once the fighting in the Gaza Strip is over, Israel will hand it over to the United States." He added, "Palestinian residents will have the opportunity to be happy, safe, and free."

Previously, on the 5th, President Trump surprised the international community and U.S. political circles by announcing a plan for the United States to own the Gaza Strip and forcibly relocate Palestinian residents, which led to significant backlash. Just a day after the White House stated, "We have never promised to deploy troops to the Gaza Strip," President Trump reaffirmed his firm intention regarding the occupation plan.

President Trump emphasized, "The United States will collaborate with global development teams to embark on one of the greatest and most magnificent development projects on earth to rebuild the Gaza Strip," adding, "U.S. troops are not needed, and stability will prevail."

Meanwhile, Democratic Representative Al Green (Texas) criticized President Trump's Gaza Strip development plan as "ethnic cleansing" and a "crime against humanity," stating that he would submit articles of impeachment against the president.
