According to the cryptocurrency media outlet CoinDesk on the 6th (local time), Ethereum (ETH) developers announced that following their meeting, the Pectra upgrade is scheduled to be applied to the Holsky testnet on February 26th (local time) and the Sepolia testnet on March 5th.
If the test is successful, developers plan to hold a meeting on March 6th to determine the official release date for the Ethereum mainnet upgrade. Some developers predict that it is likely to be applied to the mainnet in early April.
Additionally, the Pectra upgrade is expected to include a total of 10 EIPs, including EIP-7742, which supports automatic adjustment of blob gas throughput, a new transaction type in the Ethereum consensus layer (CL).
