On the 7th, Upbit stated in a notice, "The Korean name for Ripple will be changed to XRP, and the English name will be changed from Ripple to XRP."
Previously, Ripple stated in an official press release, "Ripple is a blockchain technology company providing virtual asset infrastructure to financial institutions, supporting payment and custody solutions, and issuing the stablecoin RLUSD," adding, "The company Ripple is not the developer of the cryptocurrency XRP, nor does it issue or control XRP."
