Jeong Eun-bo, Chairman of Korea Exchange, announced that he would discuss the introduction of a Virtual Asset ETF with financial authorities.
According to industry sources on the 11th, Jeong Eun-bo, Chairman of Korea Exchange, stated at a New Year's press conference, "Recently, in the (global) capital market, both virtual asset futures and spot ETFs are being traded," and added, "We will gradually discuss with financial authorities the introduction plans and timing of a Virtual Asset ETF so that we do not fall behind domestically."
Previously, on January 2nd, Chairman Jeong also mentioned at the opening ceremony of the securities and derivatives market, "We will explore new areas of the capital market, such as Virtual Asset ETFs."
