Brian Quintenz, the head of cryptocurrency policy at venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), is being strongly considered as the new chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Charles Gasparino, the chief correspondent for Fox Business, revealed on the 12th via X that "according to two sources with direct knowledge, Brian Quintenz is the most likely candidate for the new CFTC chairman."
Quintenz has previously served as a commissioner at the CFTC and is currently the head of cryptocurrency policy at the Silicon Valley-based VC, a16z.
