Japanese Bitcoin (BTC) investment firm MetaPlanet will be included in the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) Japan Index.

Simon Gerovich, CEO of MetaPlanet, announced on X on the 13th that "MetaPlanet will be included in the MSCI Japan Index on the 28th of this month," attributing it to the successful execution of their Bitcoin (financial) strategy.

The MSCI Japan Index is one of the benchmarks used by global institutional investors when investing in Japanese stocks. Inclusion in the MSCI index can lead to increased demand from funds that track the index.

Meanwhile, MetaPlanet shifted its business focus from the traditional accommodation and restaurant sectors to Bitcoin investment during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, MetaPlanet holds Bitcoin worth $117.1 million (approximately 170 billion KRW).
