Global payments company Visa is launching a Bitcoin (BTC) rewards credit card in partnership with crypto-friendly shopping app Fold.
According to crypto media WatcherGuru on the 13th, Visa is introducing a credit card in collaboration with Fold that offers up to 2% Bitcoin cashback on all purchases. Previously, Fold had issued a debit card that provided Bitcoin rewards.
Fold CEO Will Reeves stated, "Fold has already helped hundreds of thousands of users incorporate Bitcoin into their daily lives," adding "Through this credit card, we aim to establish Bitcoin as the new standard for credit card rewards."
The media outlet explained that "Traditional cashback systems process payments equivalent to about 1% of US GDP," and added "The Visa-Fold card aims to replace this with Bitcoin rewards."
