KDDI, one of Japan's top three telecommunications companies, is joining Bifrost (BFC) as a network validator.

On the 21st, Bifrost announced through its official Medium that "KDDI has joined as a new validator of the Bifrost network and will participate in network validation and operations," adding that "KDDI will play a crucial role in strengthening security and facilitating the connection between Web2 and Web3."

Bifrost added, "KDDI's participation as a validator will serve as a significant milestone in enhancing the reliability and security of the Bifrost network, and is expected to be a crucial turning point for Bifrost's global network expansion."

Meanwhile, Bifrost is a cross-chain network operated by Pi Lab Technology, a blockchain technology company. Bifrost provides infrastructure that allows developers to seamlessly build dApps (decentralized applications) across multiple chains. To achieve this, it supports both Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and non-EVM based blockchains to enhance interoperability.
