Bybit, which suffered from a hacking incident, has received loan support totaling 120,000 Ethereum (ETH) from five individual and institutional investors.
On the 22nd, on-chain analyst EmberCN revealed through X (formerly Twitter) that "currently, 5 institutions and individuals have provided loans of 120K ETH to Bybit." This amounts to approximately $320.97 million (about 461.7 billion won).
Specifically, BitGet provided 40,000 ETH, while institutional and whale investors who withdrew from Binance provided 11,800 ETH, and MEXC loaned 12,652 stETH. A Binance whale investor provided 36,000 ETH, and an investor starting with 0x327 provided 20,000 ETH.
Previously, on the 21st (local time), global cryptocurrency exchange Bybit was subjected to a large-scale hacking attack, resulting in the theft of approximately 401,347 Ethereum. The damage amounts to about $1.46 billion.
