Global cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has confirmed the recovery of $43 million (approximately 61 billion won) in hacked funds through cooperation with mETH.
Bybit announced through its official X (Twitter) account on the 24th, "The mETH protocol team played a crucial role in responding to the recent Bybit security incident," adding that "through effective cooperation and swift action (with mETH), we successfully recovered 15,000 cmETH worth $43 million."
Meanwhile, Bybit has recovered most of the losses ($1.46 billion) from the hack. According to blockchain analytics firm Lookonchain, Binance has secured an additional 446,870 Ethereum (ETH) through loans and purchases as of today. This Ethereum amounts to $1.23 billion.
