According to cryptocurrency media CoinTelegraph on the 24th (local time), the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)'s newly launched cryptocurrency task force has held consecutive meetings with key industry figures over the past 7 days to discuss regulatory issues.

According to various documents submitted to the SEC, the task force met with the US crypto lobbying group Crypto Council for Innovation (CCI), Zero Hash, Paradigm, and the founder of Michael Saylor Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), among others.

These companies reportedly demanded a reassessment of the SEC's existing position that cryptocurrencies are securities and some pending enforcement actions.

The media reported that "the SEC has already agreed to withdraw its lawsuit against Coinbase, and there is a possibility that some ongoing lawsuits against other cryptocurrency companies may also be withdrawn."
