Story is a Layer 1 (L1) blockchain that uses blockchain technology to guarantee creators' IP ownership and support effective management and utilization. Its core function is to clearly establish ownership by recording all types of IP on the blockchain, from creators' content and ideas to derivative works, and build a fair compensation system.

The global IP market is growing rapidly. As of 2023, global revenue from IP-based products and services reached $356.5 billion. However, a significant portion of global IP market revenue is concentrated among large corporations. According to Messari's research, the top 10 global licensers account for 52.3% of total revenue.
