Summary
- BlackRock has reportedly included Bitcoin spot ETF IBIT in its own investment portfolio for the first time.
- Although the allocation of IBIT is extremely small, it was revealed that this holds significant meaning in BlackRock's investment direction.
- This is interpreted as BlackRock taking a cautious approach before fully committing to Bitcoin investment, according to reports.

BlackRock has reportedly included IBIT, BlackRock's Bitcoin (BTC) spot exchange-traded fund (ETF), in one of its investment portfolios for the first time.
On the 28th, Eric Balchunas, Bloomberg's senior ETF analyst, said through X (formerly Twitter), "BlackRock has included IBIT in one of its smaller portfolios," adding that "although the allocation is extremely small, it's noteworthy that BlackRock has included IBIT in its own model portfolio for the first time."
Balchunas added, "This can be interpreted as a step of carefully dipping their toes before fully entering the market."
